Towards the end of the summer of 2008, the "Vertical Punks" crew began cleaning the boulders and climbing the first lines. While it is possible that some of the lines had been climbed before, the systematic development of the bouldering area started in 2008.
The boulders were cleaned and developed mainly by the "Vertical Punks" from Unterland/Überetsch, with additional contributions from climbers from Val di Fiemme. After a few years, it was decided to publish the bouldering area in order to attract more climbers to the valley and prevent the cleaned lines from falling into oblivion.
Special thanks also go to the "Sadoleros", who have established many new boulders over the past few years, especially in the new sector, which will be published in the near future.
The area offers excellent bouldering conditions from spring through autumn. During hot weather, the forest provides cool temperatures thanks to the cold air flowing out from beneath the boulders, while in cooler conditions the sunny meadows are the ideal place to climb.
After rain, the boulders in the forest usually need a few days to dry, whereas those in the open sun are often climbable again after just a few hours. The best friction is typically found on foggy days or during light drizzle.
Due to the humid conditions, some boulders quickly become covered with moss and lichen if they are not climbed regularly. These can easily be cleaned with a standard climbing brush before use.
